Baptised on 11-Dec-05

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Thank You thank You thank You!!

I AM BAPTISED! YEAH!!! Finally after 5 years of wait, i finally get the chance to taste salt water with my mentor!
Heh heh... yesterday weather was good! Cooling breeze and tide was at a good level. God kept the Sun away while we queue up for the salt water tasting session. Heard there was about 50 candidates among us. So happy to see the number of baptisee increase each time.
My Sis and her family came to witness the event. I was surprise that Beary's Mom was there too. So happy to see her around. A pity that my Mom and brothers didn't come.... Mom was attending a wedding dinner in M'sia and Bro1 looking after baby in hospital (Sick - suspect case of attack from KAWASAKI virus.... pls pray for him ok? His name is Justin. Poor thing, only 1+year old and have to be on drip.) and the rest are not avail too as no response from them. Oh but i'm glad i took the courage to inform them all! Pray that the Lord will touch their hearts!
*ok now i shall talk in animal world language to protect the identity of the mentioned party... Ahem*

There was 2 animals that baptised me yesterday. One is Mrs Polar Bear and the other is Miss Octopus. The baptism verse for me is.....
Psalm 25:4 - 5 NIV
4 Show me your ways,O LORD, teach me your paths; 5 guide me in your truth and teach me,for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Wooo... wonderful... in just a few minutes, I was soaked and right up again! Ahhh.... done! Thank God for His blessings and the chance to be part of His community of believers.
Going through this baptism is really not about going thru ritual but a physical action with a Spiritual significance; a commandment to be done. Before goin thru baptism, God gave me a lot of chance to know more about it. He showed me thru planning of children program (topic on Baptism), articles and sermons. This also speaks to me of the assurance that God gave me that i'll be baptise in this round. He open the gateway for me... support from family and frens. Thank You Lord for all You've done! MUAH!
The following is a verse i saw this morning.... it was sent to me yesterday. I felt it ties in with my situation now and whats next to do...
Daily Manna from the 'Net - Sunday, December 11, 2005
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:15-17 NIV
Peace shall rule my heart as He is in me since I was called to peace
His words shall be the food I take and the food i share
As i sing, i will sing with gratitude in my heart to the Most High
In the name of Jesus, will i do, giving thanks to the Father through Him.
I'll upload the pictures in the next entry. Waiting for other animals to send me....

WHAT THE @#&%$......

Daily Manna from the 'Net - Tuesday, November 29, 2005

O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony. My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long? Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love. No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave? I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears. My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes. Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping. The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer. Psalm 6:1-9 NIV

Quite an encouragement for me as i read this.... literally what i had did.... crying out to God.

As some knew... i was struggling with mentoring.... a new role for me to learn. How interesting and how irritating. Haha... recently it gets on my nerves.... tendency to curse or scold is great... ah.. should i say its temptation. Heehee... so that spells why the title of this blog. Thank God i didn't say those words... just scold but felt its no good either. Well... i'm taking a break now.... think i should spend this time to pray more.

Apart from this is the persistent itch that i have on the left side of my body.... its been more than a month. Seeing Doc didn't help.... praying for it to go off.... its driving me crazy at times... :(

The Lord heard my cry! So comforting... Guess i should learn to lay all my burdens at the foot of the cross.

AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS (ASHES TO BEAUTY) - Kathryn Scott

At the foot of the cross
Where grace and suffering meet
You have shown me Your love
Through the judgment You received

And You've won my heart
Yes You've won my heart
Now I can

Trade these ashes in for beauty
And wear forgiveness like a crown
Coming to kiss the feet of mercy
I lay every burden down
At the foot of the cross

At the foot of the cross
Where I am made complete
You have given me life
Through the death You bore for me

I'm laying every burden down
I'm laying every burden down

Prelude of Baptism

Daily Manna from the 'Net - Sunday, November 27, 2005

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 NIV

Haha...... This verse reminds me of what happened on Saturday... I finally told mom about the baptism thingy!!!

Phew... was praying for a good time to tell mom.... and then on that faithful day..... thts saturday.... at the polyclinic.... felt it was the right time.... not sure so i pray for a sign.... God showed me a poster on the wall....its something like "A little commitment... for you and your family". Well let sets me to tell mom about the baptism.

Thank God she was calm. Though shes not in an agreeable mood but no violent either. She simply say why have to go, no, you have not done what i wan u to do (pay a visit to medium... NO WAY!). I'm taking this positively, i'll go for the baptism... pray for me ok? I'll tell her more as the it draws nearer to baptism day. Hope to see her there too with the rest of my family.

My love story = Part 1

This is an account of how Beary and me (Princess Piggy!!! hee.. my new title) got together. A long story... but hope to share with you so that it may encourage you. I'll write this story whenever i have time.... long story so can't finish in one blog... jus look out for "My love story" series. ;p enjoy!

Part 1 = The beginning
==================
Think its year 2000 when i my Poly education. Life in Poly was fun and relaxing. Missed those times but well...天下无不散之宴席.... have to look forward and think what to do next. Had thought about moving on to Uni but not sure if thats where i should go. Can't possibly waste my time just thinking about it so i decided to work first... anyway i also can't apply straight away as i missed the Uni intake prog... had to wait a year. I spent a few months thinking about it before the Lord answered my prayer. Had asked God to show me thru my application... if i don't get in means its not where i should go... else... make it a smooth entry. OK... so i got in to NTU. Erm.... but not the beginning of my love story yet.... ahahaha.... some more to share....

During that time (before and during my 1st sem in NTU) i just broke up with my previous boyfriend and my Dad was diagnose with Leukemia and my uncle just died too. Heart heavy, so didn't have the mood to go into relationship thingy again... sigh... and the irritating thing was the subjects in school... simply dunno what you are studying man!!! Wa... Poly teacher really spoon feed us a lot ah... sigh...

Okie okie... let me fast forward a bit huh... ahem.... well i first heard of Colin's (i'll denote as C) name was thru his sister Shax (won't tell u the real name la huh). We were in the same church. I think it was Susu (fake name again! haha but real person la) who refered me to Shax. Susu heard me mentioned about school ma and then she remembered that Shax's brother also in NTU so tot maybe can link up with him to borrow some notes or text ma. So thats how i got to talk to Shanx and come to know of his brother. Shax sms his brother to ask if can borrow book from him or not and he agreed.... so arranged to meet him in school to pass me a text that i'm looking for. Think thats how i got his number also.

.... to be continue.....

Some thoughts from me
===================
  • Ahhh... if i remember correctly its the M201 textbook that i borrowed from him.... urghhh.... irritating subject.... remember I failed 3 times before i finally pass... Wa kor... all about mechanical stuff... wat moments of inertia then dunno wat law to apply....sigh.. well thats the past! YEAH!!!
  • Oh think i should mention this.... C and I are actually in the same church but i had never talk to him before nor do i know of his existence. He told me that at that time he knew me but i dunno him. He knew me because he saw me on stage a couple of times when i am on worship duty doing backup. Amaze by the way God bring ppl together huh. :)
Think i'll stop here today.... need to do work liao. Next episode will be about how i met him in school.

Journal for the day

Here are some verses that i find that it really speaks to my situation.... well, you may feel that i'm depending too much on what Daily Manna email me each day but then again... its God's word from the Bible!

James 1:22-25 NIV
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does.
  • This was a few days ago... was talking to Ms Susu in MSN about CK. The 1 year is coming to an end... its almost time for me to say goodbye to CK. One more duty to run! (Urgh, got to ask ppl take over me... goin women's encounter) Ms Susu was askin if theres anyone to take over my role... there is la but need to talk to her to take on the leadership role. Well i leave this to God's hand. Pray that He'll provide. Think Ms Susu will talk to her.... hehe. She also asked me if God wans me to stay longer... my reply was no... but then later in the day, i ponder about it... I was thinking in my heart... am i really to leave? Was thinking about it for awhile and i came to a conclusion that i will leave... with a little tint of doubt. The next morning if i'm not wrong, i read this verse.... hehe.... reminds me that i need to do what He says... those verses he showed me last round to leave. Ok.... noted!!!!
James 3:17-18 NIV
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

Hebrews 6:10-12 NIV
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
  • These 2 verses are more for my prayer today i believe.
  • Asked God for wisdom for my work and how to manage the kids in my home and how to manage myself properly. Think i'm a little messy these days... not very regular with my QT... its either too pack with things to do or fell asleep halfway while praying or someone come to my mud house to talk to me.... etc. Prayer life is a still goin on but not as routine as before.... feel like i'm in praying to God all the time and its like not formal prayer like the ACTS but talking. This ok? There are occasions where God answers the little thoughts that rings in my mind. Think i need to be discipline to remember the many other important things to pray about.... family/friends salvation... etc.
  • Have little patience these days too.... didn't always blow out on others but just feel annoyed with things that didn't go my way... urgh.. bad temper too... thts where i shout... esp with the naughty kids. Think its a training period for me.... before marriage... i need to work on my temper and patience. MORE LUFFFFFF. Not easy ah...
  • Ah and not be lazy tooo.... imitate! those who through faith and PATIENCE inherit what has been promised.

The Lord watches over you

This is so sweet, so happy that God is watching over me all the time....

Psalm 121:5-8 NIV (New International Version)

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
