Finally settle down a bit to write my blog again. Its been quite a while. Had been so busy with work.... many late nights. Thank God that i can relax a bit now. Church camp was a great getaway for me.
This year church camp was the best camp i had ever attended and i sure look forward for more to come. Me and my hubby spent 90% of our time at the youth side. It was great time of fellowship and encountering God. Thank God for answering our prayers.
Actually, i thought i would be spending less time with the youth as my mom was suppose to go for the camp. For some reason, my mom had a sudden injury on her knee a few days before going camp, which caused her to limb (could hardly walk) very badly. We continued to pray and hope that she could go... however, it didn't turn out that way. Since mom still in bad shape so on the day before going for camp, we decide to try our "luck" by asking my nephew to join us though he had previously turned down the offer. To our surprise, he agreed and came over our place that night and we set off together the next morning. I suppose its the Lords will.... i felt this camp was really for him, for the youth.... I'm so glad he came. As I spoke to him about the camp a week after at church (ah!! he came church!!), he express that he like the camp and the company he had. Also shared much with him about God and encouraged him to join us for the coming Alpha. Pray that he will come. I truely believe that God will also use him to minister/reach out to his parents.
Coming back to what we encountered in the camp.... the message by Ps A.Yeo was great. Interesting and engaging... makes u laugh and cry. Most importantly, all of us encountered God one way or another. The flame is ignited.... and its the first time i see all the youth walk up to receive prayers.... the first time i see all jump and worship the Lord.... the first time i see all want to stay back and hear the sermon.... the first time i see them worship for so so so long and don't want to go eat durian (tho i know some of them hate durian!) .... cool man! God is so so good! Oh LORD.... pls let this fire never cease but spread like wild fire!!!
Yes, i believe this is the turning point for all of us. Let us all continue to keep our spiritual fervor, be in temperature for God and run this race. Romans 12:11 "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."
Alpha is just round the corner. This is so timely. Let us continue with the triplet prayer and trust God in bringing them. =)
